Bokeh

I'm still playing around with my camera and tried to do some Bokeh today. As you can see I still need more practise. I handmade a black cover with a little heart cut out at the front to put over my lens but couldn't seem to get a mirage of hearts happening. If anyone has done this before, please let me know some good tips?
